New GPSC co-chair and member

The committee is pleased to welcome Ted Patterson as the new GPSC Ministry of Health co-chair and Dr Mitch Fagan as the a new Doctors of BC representative.

Ted is the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Primary and Community Care Policy Division at the Ministry of Health. Ted He has an extensive background in the BC Public Service including working as the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry’s Health Sector Workforce Division and as the Executive Director at the Public Sector Employers' Council (PSEC) Secretariat in the Ministry of Finance. Ted succeeds Doug Hughes, who has is now the Deputy Minister with the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions. The committee would like to thank Doug for his work to strengthen full-service family practice and comprehensive patient care in BC

Dr Fagan is the medical director at Langley Lodge, and a past head of family practice at Langley Memorial Hospital and CSC chair, as well as a former board member of the Langely Division of Family Practice. Dr Fagan has a strong track record as a strategic leader, contributing insights to local government, non-profit organizations, health authorities, and universities. Read more about Dr Fagan.
