Doug Hughes has been appointed as the new GPSC’s new Ministry of Health co-chair. Doug is the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Health Services Policy and Quality Assurance Division. Doug has worked with the provincial government for the past 28 years in various positions and has led policy development and service management for children and families, seniors, mental health and substance use, acute care, and services to people with disabilities.
Doug succeeds Wendy Hansson, who has joined the Providence Health Care. The committee thanks Wendy for her leadership over the past year and wishes her well in her new role.
