The GPSC’s Spring Summit earlier this week was our largest ever. The two-day event attracted more than 440 attendees, including physicians, Ministry of Health and Doctors of BC staff, health authority representatives, and Divisions support staff.

The event showcased learnings from a team of Alberta physicians who shared their experiences in setting up a primary care network. The GPSC also highlighted its own work and successes, focusing on themes of leadership, teamwork, and trust. Participants also explored topics such as tools and resources for patient medical homes, the practicalities of setting up a primary care network, and learnings from examples of team-based care models.

At the summit, the GPSC distributed a new handout about patient medical homes, primary care networks, and their connection, as well as a new marketing rack card.
